Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Cut Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced problems to water supplies, as stated by local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and applying sanctions," was stated in a public message.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets attacked energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by municipal representatives.
